De volgende enthousiaste woorden leiden het verslag in: <em>&#8216;It is nice to see that the seeds of friendships and collective \u201cHimalaya Resources\u201d in the Himalayan region have happily spread and sprouted with a very positive response from the mountain communities.\u00a0 The solidarity and support extended by Himalaya Resources for the conservation of land, water and forest in the Himalayas has started taking shape in several constructive and creative forms.&#8217;<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Er zijn zeven nieuwe slow <strong>sand filters<\/strong> (informatie <a title=\"WATERFILTERS\" href=\"https:\/\/www.himalaya-resources.nl\/waterfilters\/\">slow sand filters<\/a>) ge\u00efnstalleerd om het drinkwater veilig te maken in de dorpen. Hier profiteren 152 huishoudens van, wat neerkomt op zo\u2019n 1000 mensen;<\/li>\n<li>Aan zes bestaande filters zijn <strong>onderhouds- en herstelwerkzaamheden<\/strong> verricht.<br \/>\n133 huishoudens, oftewel 800 mensen, plukken hier dagelijks de vruchten van;<\/li>\n<li>Bij twee scholen in Kimsar en Ramjiwala zijn <strong>watertanks<\/strong> van 5000 liter gebouwd, die via het dak van de scholen gevuld worden met regenwater. De scholen hadden geen watertoevoer of bron in de buurt. Rond de 300 leerlingen maken gebruik van de tanks, waarin het water ook wordt gezuiverd;<\/li>\n<li>HIMCON en HSS organiseerden meer dan 30 kleine en <strong>grote bijeenkomsten en trainingen<\/strong> op dorpsniveau die gericht waren op het behoud van het fragiele ecosysteem;<\/li>\n<li>Op initiatief van vrouwengroepen zijn 13 <strong>chaals<\/strong> (soort vijvers) gemaakt die zorgen voor een betere vochthuishouding in de bodem.
